SCService was founded in 1997 by Steven M. Cotton as an Information Technology and Services outsourcing provider. In 2000, Stacey Umphenour-Cotton joined the company to head outsourced services in the fields of Human Resources and back office functions.

SCService has enjoyed a great deal of success helping small and medium sized businesses increase efficiency, productivity and profitability. In the years since inception, SCService has assisted over 50 companies in offices around the world. Based in Orange County, California, SCService has worked extensively with companies based in Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Riverside and San Bernardino counties, as well as in San Luis Obispo and San Mateo counties. We have supported distributed workers across the United States and offices in Colorado. Our reach has occasionally stretched as far as Germany, England, Italy and the Netherlands.

SCService has worked successfully with companies in a wide range of industries. The list includes the medical device manufacturing, machining, professional placement, clinical and regulatory service, environmental management, cosmetology production, insurance and cost containment, legal, engineering, information technology, laboratory, agriculture, printing, venture capital, and materials distribution industries.
